Texturing your models

- [Instructor] So your models are finished and have been inserted into the scene. Now comes the time to bring them to life with colors, textures, and materials. Before we move on, let me define what is the difference between these three, so you understand better. Let's start with materials. The material is basically what the model is made of. Is it made of plastic, skin, fabric, et cetera? The material also determines how the light will react to it. For example, if you have a reflective material, like a mirror, the light will bounce and reflect from it. As opposed to certain types of fabric where the light won't reflect and pass through. The material determines those properties and they are sometimes called shaders. Then you have the texture which is basically the combination of color and the texture of every material. Is the material rugged or completely flat? For example, in your fabric you might have a design that is rugged, and when you look close enough on your model, you'll see…
