- [Instructor] The tools for production are as varied as the tools we explored for pre-production. However, I'll focus on a few major players to help you accomplish a production stage. In production, you need to go through several stages to get the vision established in pre-production. You first need to record dialogues and at the same time get started on modeling your characters. For recording dialogues, you would use a sound-proof environment, a good microphone set-up, and a digital audio work station, commonly called a DAW. Logic Pro, Pro Tools and Ableton Live are good examples used for this purpose and in this course we'll explore Ableton Live, my tool of choice. As soon as concepts will be define, modelers will get started on the characters and environments. And, these are typically done through several tools, such as Maya and ZBrush. Maya is the main tool where you can basically do anything related to 3D, such as modeling, texturing, rigging, animating and adding effects…
