Introducing Zsh

- [Scott] To interact with a computer using text at a console or in a terminal window, we type commands that the system runs. The text environment where we type the commands is called a shell, and there are many different shells out there. Z shell is a popular choice for developers, system administrators, power users and all kinds of other users. It offers a lot of features that make interacting with the system at the command line fast, easy and powerful. This course will introduce you to some of the many features of Z shell. The course is divided into three sections. First, I'll cover the foundations of Z shell, like the basic configuration, built-ins, functions and options. Then I'll cover performing some basic day-to-day tasks using Z shell. And then we'll take a look at customizing the shell and saving your configurations for later use. I'm Scott Simpson, and I hope you'll join me in this LinkedIn Learning course about Z shell. Let's go.
