Anti-aliasing

- A seemingly small and yet seriously important part of the available post processing controls, are those that govern the anti-aliasing process. This playing a big part in how our scenes look in terms of the final graphical quality. Perhaps the first question to answer then is what is anti-aliasing? We'll simply put, anti-aliasing is a term that refers to the smoothing of aliased, we might prefer the word jagged lines that occur when trying to display edges. Especially straight edges when using a pixel based system such as our monitor. Now, rather than being handled on processing, or at render time, as is typically the case with offline renderers, anti-aliasing in Unreal is actually performed as part of the post process operation.
