- [Voiceover] Now we're gonna take a look at how to create a material for our objects, and in doing so, look at some other important material techniques. So, I'm gonna go over to my Mat folder, I'm gonna right click, and say make a new material. I'll call this Gear_01_Mat. I'll open this up. Okay, we're just gonna make a simple material, not with any file textures, but just with nodes in Unreal, and I'm gonna show you how you can do some fresnel work in here, too, to create different edge colors. So, I'm gonna right click on the grid. I'm gonna type parameter. We're gonna make a vector parameter. Now I'm gonna right click in the grid, as well. Let's type parameter again, and we're gonna make a scalar parameter. Okay, now we have our basic nodes that we need for our different parameters. I'm gonna wire the output of this vector into the base color, and I'm gonna click on the vector, and over here where it says parameter name, we'll call it Base Color.
