Exporting blocking

- [Instructor] When you finish with blocking out an asset like the shelf here, it's time to bake it into a mesh and export it so you can use it for reference in another tool, like Blender, Maya or 3ds Max. The first thing I like to do is group all of the related BSPs together for easy access and control. To save you the headache of clicking through all the brushes I've done this step for you. Once you've selected the meshes, head down to the details panel and scroll until you get to the brush settings. At the bottom there may be a show advanced dropdown arrow like this. What you're looking for is Create Static Mesh. Next, it's asking us to select the path to save it to. So let's select geometry and the proxy folder. We'll go ahead and name our static mesh officeshelf_reference. And click Create Static Mesh. Now it's automatically swapped out our collection of BSP brushes with a nice, clean single static mesh.
