Creating a level sequence

- [Instructor] To make a start at using Sequencer itself and putting the cameras that we have added into the scene to good use, we next need to add a sequence. And so the obvious question that we want to answer here is well, how do we go about creating one? Well after coming up to the top of the Unreal UI, we can click on the Cinematics button. And then choose to create a level sequence, making sure that we add it to our Cinematics folder and that we call it SQ_cinecam. Once done we are done. The Sequencer UI, which we will look at in a few videos' time, should then automatically open up for us. Now as we went to create our sequence there, you will have noticed that we did have two options from which we could choose. These being either a level or master sequence. Again, the natural question for us to ask is exactly what is the difference between them? Well, a level sequence is exactly what it sees, in that it is a sequence that can contain all of the cameras and related scene information that may be required to create a cinematic for the level that we are in. This having been designed to be worked on by just a single artist. A master sequence on the other hand, is a tool that has been designed to accommodate having multiple people work on multiple shots in the scene all at the same time. A master sequence being able to contain level sequences that other artists are editing and working on simultaneously. For the purpose of this introductory course though, we will be focusing on and working with just a level sequence seeing now we can put that to good use inside any one of our projects.
