Customizing the user interface (UI)
- The Unreal Editor allows you to completely customize your workspace with its dockable panels. Simply grab a tab and drag it around the screen. Notice how docking zones appear to try to guide the process. Simply release to slot into a new location. You can also dock these tabs next to other tabs so that you can toggle between them within the same panel. If you want to maximize your screen space, try right-clicking on a tab, and choosing Hide. This will minimize the top tab and save you a few pixels here and there. If you want to restore the handle, simply click on the yellow triangle. The layout of the panels in the editor, including any undocked or floating windows, is saved automatically when you close the editor and it persists between sessions. I'd like to take a moment to point out the difference between a panel, such as the world setting or details, and an editor window, like when I open up this static mesh editor.…
