Importing and migrating content

- [Instructor] 3D modeling for real time graphics is a course in and of itself. So for this lesson, we're focusing on just the process of importing final assets into the engine. If you're following along, try importing your own 3D model into the project. In this example, we have the block out we exported from Unreal, opened up in 3DS Max, but feel free to use Blender, Maya, or whatever 3D modeling tool you're comfortable with. I'll try to generalize as much as possible so you understand the critical parameters to look for. First of all, Unreal Engine uses a z-up coordinate system. So, if you're using a tool that has z-forward, you may have to adjust the axis or rotate your asset before export. As you can see, I'm using Autodesk 3DS Max and this does have a z-up coordinate system, so I shouldn't have to change anything here. Scale is also arbitrary in most of these external tools, but keep units in mind if they matter to you.…
