- [Teacher] Unreal Engine Four has some powerful tools for preparing geometry for high quality lighting. Let's look at how we can leverage the editor's built in features to fix some of the peskiest problems in ArchViz. Let's begin by disabling the decor and dynamic assets for now. Just so that our light makes will be a little faster. Now that we can see our light map density with alt zero, we can fix it by adjusting the resolution of the light maps. This can be done by selecting an object and overwriting it's lighting resolution in the details panel. Or it can be done inside the static mesh itself. For example if you have repeated instances of a mesh it's usually best to alter the static mesh settings directly so it applies to the whole scene. For example, with this column piece we can scroll up to the static mesh, double click this to go in, and then now under general settings we can set it's light map resolution directly here.
