- [Instructor] Now that you've learned how to create your own materials, let's look into how to create material instances and delve a little bit deeper into what those actually are. So, I've created a material here called material brick. Now this one has the makings of a material instance, but I'll talk through a little bit more about how those are built and what goes into them. So, for this one, it starts off just like any normal material. In this case, we're using a texture sample instead of a three vector core constant. So instead of a color, we actually want a specific image to apply to this. Now, you'll run into, when you're applying textures to meshes in your scene, a lot of issues with scaling or rotation, and material instances really come in handy when you're needing to adjust materials on the fly on your mesh in engine. So we'll begin by connecting the sample output to the base color, and as you can see in this little sample here, my brick is looking nice. It's well applied…
