- [Instructor] To understand more about material properties, let's create a new material to play around with. Right click in the Content Browser and create new material. Double click to go inside. Here in the Result node, there's a variety of different properties that can be used to create just about any material you can imagine. To start, let's look at Base Color. This is the color value of the material, sometimes referred to as defuse. In computer graphics, color is usually described as a vector constant. So, right click in the graph and type constant. See how it starts to suggest options? You can use this to explore instructions and find the one that you're looking for, even if you don't quite remember the name. Select Constant3Vector from the list. Now, try dragging from this handle into Base Color to connect them. You can change the color by double clicking the panel.
