- [Instructor] The Unreal Engine 4 particle system is an incredibly modular and flexible system for creating all kinds of effects, from rain and snow, to the steam off a fresh cup of coffee. Head into the FX folder and look for particles. Here you'll find the handful of assets that go into making this particle. First are the texture atlases, you can think of these like a flip book animation except every page is laid out on a grid. Then these textures go into unlit materials Ultimately, it's all to drive the particle subview V node. This combines the atlas into an animation that we can use in our particle. Now let's go ahead and open that up. Double click on the particle system asset, CoffeeSteam_FX. This is the cascade particle editor. The main panels you'll be using are the viewport and details, which you've seen before. But the emitter and curve editor panels are specific to this window. Think of emitters as like…
