Set up a dynamic scene in Maya
- [Instructor] Starting with Unreal 4.13, we now have the ability to import alembic caches into Unreal for our animations which is a quite fantastic feature and really opens the door to bring in all kinds of animation easily into Unreal that would have been trickier to do before. What we're going to create is an example of a thing that would be good to bring over via alembic. It would be trickier to do in any other way, 'cause we're going to run a simple dynamic simulation where we're going to drop some objects onto our scene, export that as an alembic cache, and then we'll import that into Unreal and add it into the mix of what we've been doing. So, here we have the outer shell geometry of what we've been working on with our scene. And we have this fall_objects_01 group here in the outliner. I'm going to do Shift + H to turn that on, zoom out. You can see we have a bunch of these platonic solids above it that we're just going to drop down on our scene. As with many collision…
