- [Instructor] So now that we've made our own custom material, I'd like to apply it to multiple meshes at once. You'll notice if you click on any given mesh that there's a section for materials that has a number of different elements. These are the material IDs and these come over from the Revit families that they're based on. The nice thing is, it allows us to apply materials to specific parts of a mesh without having to worry about affecting the whole thing or affecting other meshes that we don't want to change. The downside is, it means that, to apply a material, we have to select each and every object to do that. Well, Unreal has a nice shortcut for that. Let me grab a mesh that has this generic aluminum material that I want to change out for my newly created nice aluminum texture. What I'll do is select any mesh that has that material applied to it and then right click it in the world outliner. Go down to select and then at the bottom of that dropdown is Select all with same…
