- [Instructor] One of the great strengths of V-Ray in many DCC applications is the sheer number of specialized materials available to the end user: sub-surface scattering materials, volume materials, hair and fur materials, and so on. All of which make it much easier to create specialized surface types than would otherwise be the case. Currently, though, only one of those material types has made its way into V-Ray Fit One Real, this being the V-Ray car paint uber material, which as the name suggests, has been designed to help us easily simulate metallic vehicle paint finishes. It actually comes with two distinct layers in the UI, these being the base layer and a clear coat layer, with the material allowing for the adjustment of each of these separately. To take a look at it then, let's come to the parent control in our test material instance, and make the switch over to using the V-Ray car paint uber material.…
