- [Instructor] With the V-Ray material set as the parent of our test material instance then as set up in the previous exercise, let's move forward and take a look next at how these newly revealed material parameters actually work keeping in mind that, as we've already said, this material can easily be used to simulate a huge variety of surface types by means of just a handful of intuitive parameters and, like the V-Ray material in other DCC applications, we can easily apply texture maps to control the various material parameters as well such as reflections, refractions, bump, and normal channels should we need to.
