The light dome blueprint, part 2
- [Instructor] Having added a light dome and HDR image to the scene and taken a render with them, what we want to cover in this video, are the basic workings of the controls associated with this light type so that we have a good idea of how we might use it in our projects. With the light dome selected then, you can see in the details tab, that we have two main roll outs with which we can work these being General and Options. In the General rollout, we have the on checkbox which can be used to turn the dome light off and on again. We have the use dome text option, that we used in the previous exercise, which enables the use of a texture for lighting, along with the dome text controls that specify which if any texture, we are currently using. Now the dome text rotation option, is one that we haven't looked at yet, with this specifying the horizontal rotation of the texture being used in the dome text slot. The values being set in…
