- [Narrator] Although it's not the most exciting thing in the world from a design perspective, collecting metrics to determine the success of a feature is really important. Measures of efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction will let you know how well you've met users' needs with the features you implement. Even while we're still at the level of pain points and goals, you can determine the high level measures that would help you understand whether you've met the goals you've set. Later on, as you design actual features, you can extend these high level goal metrics so that they cover each piece of the product you deliver. And with a user-centered design approach, you can begin measuring success even before you ship when you run usability tests of your paper prototypes and early beta code.
