- [Instructor] Although the Render Element tools in V-Ray for 3DS Max are both hugely powerful and pretty complete in terms of the options that they bring to the table, Chaos Group have again shown that they are constantly looking for ways in which the Artist Tool Set and Workflow options can be improved. Hence, the two fairly small and yet highly-significant tweaks that we will look at here. Focusing first of all on the V-Ray Light Select element, which if I just hit the F10 key to open up the Render Set Up dialogue and jump into the Render Elements tab, you can see we already have two of added to the elements list. In fact, if I quickly open up the V-Ray Frame Before window, and then access the Channels drop down, you can see the data that has been captured by the Light Select Elements in a render of the scene that I have already taken at frame 50.
