- [Instructor] Although V-Ray proxies are yet another tool that has been around for a long while now, given the fact that there have been quite a few workflow enhancements added to them in the 3.1 to 3.3 updates, they're definitely worth taking a quick look at here. In our test scene then, we have a clump of Max AC trees that, as individual objects, couldn't really be considered high in terms of polygon count. But seeing as they do collectively amount to about one and a quarter million polys, and seeing as we could potentially use this collection in scenes where we will want to replicate the group quite a few times, it would probably make sense for us to go ahead and create a V-Ray proxy out of them, one that we could then add to an ongoing proxy collection. To create a proxy all we need to do is select all of the trees that we want to add together as a single proxy object, which in this instance is all of them.
