- [Instructor] One of the real strengths of V-Ray and particularly so when compared to 3ds Max's native tool set has been the wealth of tools and options that come as standard with V-Ray's own Frame Buffer window. In this video then, I just want to outline some of the many improvements that have been made to V-Ray in this area. The first of which is the ability that we now have to actually compare the V-Ray settings used in a render that has been saved to the Frame Buffer's history list with the settings that we are currently using in the engine itself. To demonstrate how this works, let's save our render of the scene as it currently stands to history. And then after opening up the Render Setup dialog by means of the F10 key, make a few tweaks to the settings that we're using. So if we come, first of all, to the image sampler rollout, we can switch the filter type to, say, Catmull-Rom. In the global illumination rollout, we can switch the secondary engine over to Light Cache. And in…
