The revamped frame buffer with advanced color controls
- One very powerful part of the toolset that V-Ray 3.0 brings to 3ds Max is its own version of the render frame window, referred to in Chaos Group speak as the V-Ray frame buffer, or VFB for short. Far from being just another viewing window for the images that are rendered out of the V-Ray engine, the V-Ray frame buffer is a production strength tool in its own right and in this video, we're going to take a quick tour of its interface and look briefly at some of the extremely useful tools that it brings to the table. We can quickly open the V-Ray frame buffer by clicking the icon found near the top of the V-Ray toolbar. If we have already taken a render in the scene that we're working with, as I have here, the window will open with that latest render already loaded in. Now, a lot of the tools across the top of the V-Ray frame buffer are going to be very familiar to 3ds Max users as they simply mimic functionality found on Max's own rendered frame window, such as access to various image…
