- Well, we're almost to the end of this course, but I thought I'd save some of my favorite sentiments for last. Because, in this movie, I want to look at how everything we've talked about so far, a lot of the film and video technologies, techniques, approaches, and workflows, have gotten us to this point, and how it's influenced the way we work. Think of this sort of as a tribute to the hundred plus years of film editing and fifty plus years of tape editing. Throughout this movie, I will be peppering in the sentiments of working editors about the concepts that we discuss. These quotes come from an online editing community where I ask questions and they provided insight. And I'm glad to be able to include their words, because many of these seasoned editors have been in the trenches far longer than I, and as I just said, I benefit from the efforts of those that came before me, so I'm grateful for their words of wisdom and reflection.
