Norman: Most of what we've been looking at so far have been films with dialog, but many films have scenes without any dialog in them at all. While your approach to editing the scenes is going to be the same, there are some differences that you will want to take into consideration. For instance, 11 Weeks is a short student film, set in a strife torn Indian region of Kashmir. In it, a young orphaned Muslim boy, Aslam, is sentenced to work for 11 weeks in an old age home. And while he's there he's assigned to work for a Hindu scientist, Veer, who is still bitter about the deaths of his children at the hands of Muslim terrorists years before. As each of them spend more time around each other, respect and a love develops that transcends religious boundaries and prejudice. When Aslam's orphanage is bombed, both of them realize just how much they mean to each other. Every scene in this film was meant to push this overall log line forward.
