Location scouting is a fundamental step in pre-production that will often have a significant impact on the flow of the production. It offers a unique opportunity to discover vantage points, anticipate lighting challenges and opportunities, and learn about the permits, gear, and crew that will be required in addition to many other factors. We're often surprised to see how many people ignore the critical step of location scouting. In cities like New York, things change, and they change fast.
