In this movie, we will look at how light can enhance the richness of your subjects, and locations. We will go through three different lighting situations, with the same subject at the same location. To illustrate the differences in lighting, we will be filming a young couple from three camera angles. The first camera is for a wide shot. Which establishes the context, in this case, a restaurant. The second camera is over the shoulder of the young woman, while the third is over the shoulder of the young man. In this first situation, we're relying only on the available daylight coming through the window behind the couple to light the scene. The result is that her face is much darker than his. Since he's getting some side light from the window, as you can see from this angle. The exposure range between the couple and the background is significant.
