Accident reporting

- [Instructor] If you have an accident you have to report it within 10 calendar days if there is loss of consciousness or serious injury to a person. You also have to report it if there is damage to any property other than your drone if the cost is greater than $500 to repair or replace the property, which ever is lower. You may file the report electronically, via the FAA online sUAS accident reporting website. Or by phone to the appropriate FAA Regional Operations Center, or the nearest Flight Standards District office, or FSDO. A serious injury would be things like head trauma, broken bones, or lacerations to the skin that require stitches. In addition to this FAA report, certain accidents must also be reported to the NTSB.
