Adding materials to your models

- [Instructor] Now that we have our models set up, let's add our materials. Going to start with adding the shadow catcher, so let's select the back wall, and then right-click, Assign New Material, and under the Arnold shaders, we want the shadow catcher. All we need to do here is turn on Enable Transparency, and if we select the back wall again, under Mesh Shape, go to Arnold, and turn off Opaque, so that will render our shadows, but not the back wall. Now let's put some materials on our window. Select our window, and go into Face mode, let's select the area that's going to be the glass, and just right-click, Assign New Material, and under the Arnold shaders, we want AiStandard. So we just want reflections, so we're gonna turn off the diffuse, and go down to Reflection and turn up the reflection. Now with the face still selected, let's go up to Select, Inverse, and then we'll right-click again, and assign another material, and we'll just grab another AiStandard, and for this example, we'll just leave this at its default. So now that we have our materials on all our objects, we're ready to start setting up the lighting.
