- So on the day of a shoot it's important to know what to do when you get to a location. The first thing you want to do is not unpack your truck full of equipment, what you want to do is actually go on a walk with the producer. And the reason why you do this is because you want to see exactly how much equipment, what equipment, and how much of it to bring up with you. It's important to see how large the space you're going to shoot in and also relating back to what we talked about in the previous chapter. Is it needs to be the right shot, so if it's the wrong location then that needs to be a discussion so two of the most common examples in corporate video. Is a conference room table with a long bay of windows on one side, and someone's office. Now this is always a joke in the industry. It's never the most ideal location but it's what they got, it's what they're willing to give you.
