Archive releases
- We started out this course talking about licensing and how important it was to make sure that you have the right permissions for all the different platforms you're gonna release in. And so now we're at the archiving stage, you need to be sure you're keeping all those releases with your content. So I like to keep releases in two places at least. I like to keep them in the folder that contains the actual asset of the item that's released. So that means if it's a talent release, it goes with that talent person on camera and that footage. If it's music, then it goes in the music folder with the actual music. If it's stock photos, then inside that stock photo folder, there's the release. That way everything can be found by the next editor or the next person working with that content, which may or may not be the person who started out with it.
