Attaching a lens to digital film and production cameras
- If you're using one of the URSA cameras, it's going to come standard with the Canon EF Mount. But if you have other lenses available to you, it is available with different options including the B4, the PL, and the older Nikon F Mount, or a bayonet style mount. Now, these are much more common for higher end cinema lenses but the standard is going to be the Canon EF mount, which is of course available on Canon lenses, and many other third party lenses made for the Canon systems. It's pretty simple. All we need to do is remove the body cap here from the lens, and so with a simple, gentle twist it's going to unlock. You may need to push the button here to release that, and you'll see that this now twists gently, and you can lift this away. Now, when you do this, make sure that the camera itself is powered off. Now take your lens, remove the back cap, and you should notice that the lens itself has a red dot. This red dot lines up with this red dot very easily. So just line those red dots…
