(upbeat music) - One of my biggest pet peeves about most online tutorials that I see is really bad audio quality. Now, a lot of pros will say that audio is half the picture, and Rob, what are they getting at there? - Well, it's just that to kind of, you know, have your message be conveyed in the way that you want it to be, audio matters, and the fact is, Rich, is that we spend all day listening to each other, so when we hear bad audio, we recognize it immediately. Audiences are not as prone to notice visual problems, like the text is a little hard to read, but they can go, "Yeah, that's okay, I'll forgive that," or, you know, the picture's a little dark. But when the audio sounds muffled, or distorted, or you can hear nothing but the room, and you have a hard time hearing what the person's saying, well, that's a problem. - Especially since more and more tutorials and content are being consumed on mobile phones, or in busy environments.
