Backing up to two formats

- The two in 3-2-1 Backup stands for two formats. This means two different storage mediums. Now chances are you shot on something in the camera. Maybe that's tape, but more likely its a digital storage format. In this case, we shot SD cards today but it could have been a P2 memory card, a SSD, or a myriad of other options. That's fine. That's one of the two copies that you can shoot to. If you're using a disc recorder on site, maybe you recorded both in camera and to the external recorder. You're getting a lot further along there but you need to get the things copied somewhere else. Chances are it's going to be a hard drive. Here I have a field hard drive. A nice great case designed to protect the drive. If we open this up, you'll see that it's a rugged case. The drive just slips right inside. Now you'll notice a little bit of paranoia here. We've got our production company label in the case. I've got contact information on the drive and we can just store that in there and slip it…
