- RSS technology has been around for a long time, and it's a standard that's controlled by a governing web body. Now, this standard is open to all, but we have seen it evolve, and we have seen lots of websites use it under the hood, but hide it, from the average user. This is the universal icon for a RSS feed, so if you discover this in a web browser on a site that you're browsing, this will unlock the power of RSS. It's also important that you know how to find it on your websites, and I'll show you some strategies in just a moment. When you're browsing, some web browsers, for example Safari, will by default hide the RSS feed. Instead, you'll want to rely on individual websites to offer it up. In this case, look for the icon here that shows it to you. Other web browsers make it easier with the use of extensions or even showing it to you in the address bar.
