- Hi, my name's Rich Harrington, and joining me this week is Carola Myers. Carola you have been a makeup artist for 25 years. We've worked together for over a decade, and I'm always amazed at the things that you can do. But one of the challenges that I think a lot of folks don't fully understand is the complexity of skin tones. Everybody's skin is different, right? - That's right. To learn about skin and the tones I think the most important thing I will recommend is to learn about what to do with these products. We have to choose foundations, so to understand about the diversity of skin and the tones is just to know what types there are there. - Now, what are some of the things that effect skin tone? Obviously, one of the biggest ones is probably race, or you know ethnic background, but are there other factors that can effect skin tone? - Yes, again this is a very good question you're doing.
