- Before you record, it's a good idea to check camera settings. Now remember, on a professional video set, you'll have chain of command. So, don't just walk over and push a button, or start checking things. Check in with the Director of Photography, or the Director, to bring up the camera settings, and make sure that everything is where it's supposed to be. But, if you are on set, or you're doing this by yourself, it is absolutely critical that you check all of the cameras and line things up. Once things move on to post production, particularly if it's a multi-camera shoot, things get pretty weird if you start mixing frame rates, and frame sizes. So, try your best to make sure that cameras match up, or know that you have deliberately shot at a larger size. Like shooting 4K, so you can do a product shot, and then scale it in post. So, pretty simple, we've got three AF100's on set here. They're three cameras from Panasonic. Doesn't matter what cameras you use, but I'll let you know…
