- So, one thing that you really need when it comes to shooting a VR tour, or any 360 image, is that you need a remote because when you're taking a tour and you try to shoot an imagine, you don't want to be in the shot. You want to be able to try and hide behind the shot. So, the only way to trigger that is using a remote. - So, it really comes down to someway that you can fire the camera but not be in the photo itself because having to clone yourself out or do post processing to remove you can be a lot of extra work. Now, there really are several different approaches to this. Fortunately, many of the consumer style VR cameras offer smart phone apps. Every major manufacturer from GoPro to Insta360, to YI, has a smartphone companion app that allows you to pair the camera with your smart phone.
