- If you detect a problem, what can you do about it? Well, here are some strategies that you can use to get a project back on track. First up, meet individually with team members. This doesn't mean that you shouldn't have all group meetings because group meetings are important to encourage open communication. But make the time to just sit down with people, stop by their workplace, give them a quick phone call, drop them an email. Many people are uncomfortable expressing problems in a group setting, so you'll pick up on things when you talk to them as individuals. You also should check in with the client or the stakeholders. Sometimes you might see a problem and it's not gotten that far yet and you can easily fix it. Or, there will be times that the client or stakeholder picks up on something that you don't know about.
