- You now know how many videos a month you plan to make and how much time you want to spend making them. So you're probably reaching for your camera already, but slow down there, buddy, before you actually shoot any of your videos, it's best to plan out your video's format. This way, there's a clear beginning, middle and end that you can incorporate into your videos when shooting them. So let's get into some tips on formatting. Now your video format is really up to you, but a basic YouTube video structure looks something like this. There's an intro slash hook.
