Creating the foundation of the video

- Once everything is organized, it's time to begin the editing process. Different projects come with different strategies, however, as we talked about in chapter one of this course, most projects follow a general workflow. First, you edit a rough assembly, which is a version of the show with everything placed relatively in the correct order. This is also often called the radio edit, which means that if we played it and listened to it we'd get a good idea of the story because everything is in the right spot. Then after we do a lot more work in terms of tweaking flow and adding additional visuals and audio elements, it becomes the rough cut. Then after you gather feedback and refine it much more, it becomes the fine cut, and then you ultimately reach picture lock. So let's talk about what editing the rough assembly looks like for this project.
