Creating a packing list
- I'm a fan of packing list. When I get ready to go camping or send my kids off to camp, we have a packing list because when you get out into the wilderness and you realize that you didn't pack your rain gear, it's a pretty miserable weekend. Same thing holds true for a video production. You don't want to show up on site and realize that you didn't bring enough memory cards and you're constantly scrambling and having to go through data. Or worse yet, sending somebody out to a local drug store trying to find a good quality SD card that's going to keep up with your 4k camera. You want to make sure that you don't leave things behind. But conversely, bringing everything, isn't usually an option. If you have to travel or go on location, it can get really expensive to bring all of that equipment, particularly if you're flying.
