Crew logistics
- The crew is the heartbeat of any production. Good planning can make the difference between having a great day on set, and having the wheels come off your project. As a video producer, you are responsible for the well-being of your crew during a shoot day. Just like your location, you have to consider some crew logistics to keep everything moving along. But first, how much crew do you need? Sure, it's nice to have that extra production assistant on set to go get your coffee, but do you really need them? You only want your crew to be as big as absolutely necessary to complete the job. See, extra people means more wages paid out, more food, parking, and so on. If you're shooting in multiple locations, the larger the crew, the more time it takes to move everyone around. Your script will dictate how large of a crew you'll need to complete the project.
