Dealing with the exercise files

- In this movie were going to talk about using the exercise files which might cause you a few more snags than you would get in a normal training course. So as I mentioned in the last tutorial the exercise files include with this training often include many third party effects and as such might cause you issues with warnings and things not looking the same as what I have on my screen. So to fix this you can turn off the effects to disable them, you could also turn off the entire layer itself, to disable the layer or you could download demos of the missing plugins from the developers website. When working with the exercise files themselves, project files are always in the chapter folder that corresponds to the training so, the projects for chapter seven, for example, for both Cinema 4D and After Effects are all in the chapter seven folder but project files often reference other files as well and sometimes there can be issues with those not linking correctly and so if you need to find them here is a little bit of info for you, for Cinema 4D projects there is usually a tex folder, a folder called tex in the same location as the project, so if there is a Cinema 4D linking issue look through the tex folder that's in the same folder as the project, as the Cinema 4D file, the .c4d file. After Effects projects link to images and video files that are found in the media folder in the exercise files folder. Photoshop files are found in the stills and graphics folder, in the media folder. Relinking files that you download is a pain and I certainly apologize for that if that should be your lot to deal with but that's just kind of the nature of the beast when downloading exercise files from the internet, I deal with it to, myself when I download training or whatever but I do think that the effort is worth it. I spent a lot of time converting these files in a more download friendly format so that you could dissect a lot of what I did here and maybe improve on it or change it on your own if you wanted to. So, again my condolences for any relinking or missing plugin issues but its worth it. Okay, so we're done with all the boring logistical stuff, let's get to the fun training stuff in the next chapter.
