- Once everything is organized, it's time to start editing. There are many different strategies and workflows depending on the project, but let's talk about how we're gonna tackle this project. As we know, we have a scripted part of this video and a more loosely-planned, unscripted part. The scripted part is the performed memoir and the unscripted parts are the interview-driven segments. So in this movie, I'd actually like to tackle the interview portion, since it requires the most assembly. You not only need to intimately get to know each of your characters, but also each of their soundbites and the tone that each of those imparts. Combining content, context, and tone in the right ways is what this is all about. During this process, there's gonna be a lot of stringing out, moving around, trimming, and revising.
