Encourage leadership amongst the team

- While you may think of yourself as the team leader, you can't be the only leader on the team. There'll be times where you get tied up with multiple projects, or you might get pulled to respond to an issue and need to go work with the client. You need somebody else to be able to be in charge. In this case, there's a lot of ways that you can encourage leadership amongst the team. First start by sharing responsibilities. Try to decentralize your power and put other people in charge of different aspects. It doesn't meant that you're not the backup or that you don't still check their work, but you need to get other people in charge of things. Otherwise they're never going to step up and lead. You also want to encourage communication. Even if you're not there, encourage the team to meet. Encourage them to meet with each other.
