- The challenge with being a project manager is the concept of herding cats. Most of the people you work with don't like to be managed. They're not going to want to keep time records. They're going to have a resistance to being organized because they equate organization with a lack of creativity. The challenge here is you have to convey to people the benefits and you have to find a way to enforce consistency. Taking advantage of an online project management tool like Basecamp can do this because you can enforce the control cycle. One of the things you can do is setup a project template. You could do this, of course, within Creative software, with common elements already identified, but also with the project where you have key folders and documents that just need to be filled in.
