Enhancing your cursor

- It's a matter of personal taste but some folks will like to enhance their cursor so it's easier to follow. If you're giving a technical demonstration, making the cursor more visible can really be useful. There's two strategies here. Some folks do this during post-production and some tools like ScreenFlow for example can actually let you modify the cursor afterwards, adding call-outs special effects or other things. However, some people like to do this while they're recording or have greater flexibility. There are many different tools on the market so feel free to experiment. I'm going to show you two that I happen to like and use particularly when I'm webcasting but often with screencasting as well. For the cursor, I use one that is called Cursor Pro.
