- Social media is changing at a hundred miles an hour. So shooting for social media is like changing the tires while driving at that speed, not a great idea, right? So always check the specs with your final destination platform. I strongly suggest shooting test footage in advance and testing it over that platform. Especially if you're planning to do some kind of live streaming event. Now we've collected some specs for you here and we will make them available in the project files at the end of the course. I'll just walk you through a little bit of it here but again you want to check to make sure they're the same today as they are when I put them up. YouTube obviously has a very wide range of specifications. I mentioned that they, the minimum is 1280 by 720. And I'm sure you're shooting at higher resolution than that frankly. They can do all kinds of things with audio now, so they can even do 5.1 surround sound. Lots of different options on YouTube. They also have a set of Pro Specs. So…
