Exercise 1: Develop your elevator pitch
- Here's your first exercise which is to develop your elevator pitch. First, you're gonna develop your personal mission statement, your why, and then you're gonna followup with your pitch. Set a timer for about 20 minutes, use paper, sketch tools, Photoshop, whatever makes you feel the most creative, draw a circle at the center, and put your why. Why do you do this? What makes you really care about this work? What's important to you? The next circle outside of that is how. What are the tools are skills that allow you to be good at this? Those hard skills that we talked about and then the outside is what. What is it that you create? Then, somewhere here I'd like you to actually put some of those soft skills. You can put them outside the circle, but some of the things that really make you unique and delivering things in a great way for your clients. Then, I just want you to save a little space and start putting together the pieces of your elevator pitch. Just could be one or two…
